Blarg + pictures

I'm trying to figure out where I'm living next year, or more accurately with whom.  It's full of drama, and I hate it.  So rather than talk about that, I'll give you lots of pictures from various things.


Last week I made grilled cheese out of some of the challah I made over Easter, some leftover mozzarella (the hard kind, not the soft kind)... and some bacon bits.  So very kosher for Passover.


These two coke machines were at a rest stop in Mississippi.  Separately, they wouldn't have been funny, but as they were the only machines at that stop it was pretty funny.


One of three sunset pics I took while flying down the highway from Hammond to Baton Rouge, somewhere between 75 and 80 mph.

LASTLY, the reason I got nothing done today.

It's not perfect (it HATES my wireless card and refuses to acknowledge its existence, for one), and it serves no useful purpose whatsoever, but it amuses me to run Mac OS natively on my laptop.

Heh! The coke machines are cracking me up. We stopped at a rest stop in Mississippi that had three coke machines and two snack machines. All but one of each machine was out, and neither would take a dollar. The janitor was mopping near the machine and said, and I quote, "If you put your dollar into that broken coke machine, it will give you one quarter back."

I just kind of . . .stared. So, basically, spend four dollars to get a coke? Oh, Mississippi.

nono, spend SIX dollars to get a coke. As I found out this trip, apparently it's a buck-fifty for a bottle of coke at pretty much every rest stop in the country (well, the parts I went through).

Oh, Florida is the worst. We drove from down here to Miami and took the Florida turnpike for 80% of the trip. Those people are insane. It should not cost you $24 to drive, stupid frickin' tolls. And sure, the rest stops are nice, but if I just spent that much money to drive on your road? I'm not dropping $3 for a coke, you asses. You Floridian asses.

Heh. It's basically the developer edition of Tiger. this page (http://www.tech-recipes.com/apple_mac_tips964.html) and this one (http://osxx86.orgfree.com/installguide.htm) were the most helpful.
