Early morning airport ridiculousness.

This is the reason I try to be caffeinated early in the morning.  For the saga of my attempts to drive around this morning to the gas station and to my airport, look at this Google Map I made.  An excuse to use my new favorite online toy -- at least there's that silver lining.

I am arrived at the gas station. Whoever thought I'd think that $2.89 -- after discount -- was cheap?

Ya know how thrilled people out here would be if gas was $2.89? You'd think for the amount of cars and the amount of driving people do out here that SoCalifornians could get some sort of bulkrate discount :)

Well, there is that... I could be in California. But then, I feel like it's sort of a tax for living in SoCal. (You know, on top of the smog tax and the burning-fires-will-eat-me-now-arg tax. And the getting rear-ended by celebrities tax.)
